Krems, Austria hosts EAA’s 18th annual conference

The 18th International Conference on Research in Advertising 2019 will be held in Krems Austria, known as one of the oldest Austrian cities, the wine capital and recently ranked number 1 in the Future Ranking of Austrian districts. Surrounded by vineyards, apricot orchards and the Danube, marketing and communication scholars will gather to present and discuss their cutting edge research. The conference topic “Designing Experiences” emphasises that ultimately experiences are created communicated and shared by consumers and that the media and advertising consumptions are themselves experiences. Thus, research investigating how we produce, consume and measure experiences is still an important topic.

The venue IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems is located between the historic twin cities of Krems and Stein. All hotels and venues will be in walkable distance to the University. ICORIA 2019 will start on June 27th with the sixth doctoral colloquium and a welcome reception in the evening. On Friday June 28th and Saturday June 29th researchers will present around 150 papers on various advertising and communication related topics. The gala dinner on Friday and a social event on Saturday will provide more opportunities for networking and collaboration.
